Andy McCoy’s colourful world in paintings and hats
Paintings by guitarist Andy McCoy (born in 1962 in Pelkosenniemi), who rose to rock’n’roll fame in Hanoi Rocks, have been exhibited since 2010. You can now see his paintings in Oulu for the first time.
McCoy’s paintings are rich and colourful, with plenty of detail and symbolism. The themes of the images emerge from his experiences and the people he has encountered – with remarkable variety in the incredible life of this rock legend. In addition to visual art, the Oulu exhibition also displays some unique hats Andy McCoy has painted.
Tickets and services
We do not accept cash at ticket sales. Payment methods include the most common debit and credit cards, Mobile Pay and Google Pay. Unfortunately, the Museum Card is not yet available at our exhibitions.

LOCATION AND HOW TO GET HERE
Art Centre Culture Bank is located in Oulu’s historic centre, on the southern side of Franzen Park. The main entrance is on Kajaaninkatu, opposite the park.
Please leave coats and bags in the locker cabinets at the ticket office.

Parking
You can find some paid or disc parking spaces on the streets near the building. The best chances for finding a parking place are in the Autoheikki parking garage, 300 metres from the Art Centre, and the parking lot of Oulu Marketplace near Hotel SAS Radisson. Next to it, there is also the entrance to the Kivisydän underground parking hall.
